Points of view

It's wonderful to see that mindfulness is becoming such a big trend. Everywhere you see workshops, books and articles about mindfulness. I have been in this mindfulness trip for about the last 5 years now. Reading about it, following workshops, writing about it, experiencing the benefits of it. One thing I got out of one of these workshops recently is the insight of what our points of view are doing to us. Points of view are creating tension. Holding on to points of view cause struggle. Only when you have no resistance to change you become the change and change becomes effortless.

Mindfulness becomes a much needed tool in our overfull and busy life styles. Bussiness most of the time keeps us from not needing to be still and avoiding to see and feel what is really happening. When we realize that in being still, we still feel and experience, we live life more fully. You then feel things in a different intensity, take them less seriously, and you don't get lost in them. The extreme emotions we experience mostly come from trying to achieve something. The essence of life however is that there is nothing to achieve and nothing to do. Things will still happen, when we let go of attachments and outcomes we truly are in the moment and you open up for an immense amount of possible possibilities. You then can be anything. Opportunities will pop out of the ground like muhrooms.

The only reason we get stuck to points of view and trying to controle and manipulate outcomes is to feel safe. I caught myself doing this, those first few days being here in Tel Aviv. Trying hard to not control, but still holding on to points of view, hoping for certain outcomes.

Again I look at myself and cannot believe, after years of workshops, I am actually still tricking myself into doing this!! Only today I made a change. Realizing I am doing this opened up something in me. It does take some courage to look at things and realize that everything is perfect the way it is and to look at this and laugh. Letting go of point of view and cellebrating the void. Cause in the void lies all the possabilities! Immidiatly I am looking around with different glasses on, or did it happen that I threw out the glasses completely?!

Tel aviv is amazing! How could I doubt about being here.

Suddenly there is contentment and peace.

Being edgeless and dancing with what is...
