More on this blogger

As a Canadian-Dutch expat now based in Switzerland, I never could say where I’m ‘from’ or where I feel most at home. I’m one of those 3rd culture kids, spoon-fed multiple languages, switching countries every year and feeling like the more I see, the more there is to discover of the world. I realize that for me, home is not a place, it’s where my heart is. Which is  handy for a global nomad -- no excess baggage. Just check in and follow it. Which is why I joined Geertje at Potential Buddha -- it’s all about opening our hearts to freedom.

Since the world’s our oyster, I've been diving to different depths for a few pearls over the years, working in theatre, film, TV, as a professional voice over, as a media designer, travel writer, trainer, teacher, researcher, organisational consultant and executive and team coach. It is all connected somehow. Besides being Geertje's partner in Potential Buddha, I am the founder of a professional coaching service called Trust Your Potential, specialised in guiding young talent and high potentials in business. I work for business schools like IMD and de Baak to help leaders find an authentic core and communicate from a place of awareness: clearing the mind, finding the life mission, and opening the heart. In my experience, big companies sorely need a new generation of leaders who can bring positive energy and better ideas into the workspace.

This connects closely to Potential Buddha’s vision of creating a community of people who want to live with their hands and their hearts, and get out of their heads a bit more. And have fun while doing it! Or doing nothing, which may be the point....At the tender age of 41, I feel ready to “give back” and enjoy supporting this   community in all things “awareness”.

My postings on Potential Buddha will focus on topics that I hope will inspire you to think differently and look beyond the everyday of life. In the Potential Buddha ezine, which I edit about once a month, I am a delighted collector of funky links to pioneering innovations, buddha business and cool eco designs.

From my mountain base, I zip about Europe and beyond, to gather connections and unique experiences for Potential Buddha events. Since I suffer from a chronic case of wanderlust, I am also the bod behind a new Potential Buddha direction: awareness adventures. I’m open to co-organizing trips to exotic places, so come on and send in your suggestions! Any exotic travel featuring yoga, meditation, detox, music, biodanza, gourmet veggie cooking, cultural and outdoor eco-oriented exploration is a definite YES. Twist my rubber arm. You may just be regaled with travel tales if you can't join us. Until you do! See you here later!
